Michael Phelps has taken another lap with his girlfriend – a big one. She was reported to be spending Thanksgiving in Baltimore with him and his family, according to
People magazine.
The Olympic champ has been dating Las Vegas cocktail waitress Caroline “Caz” Pal, 26, for about two months. The two met after the 23-year-old Phelps' record-setting performance in Beijing last summer.
“She's there (in Maryland) meeting his family for the first time,” a source close to Pal told People.
Along with dating Pal, a waitress at the Palms Casino Resort's Moon Nightclub, Phelps is spending time in Vegas working on his poker game.
He's hoping to participate in the 2009 World Series of Poker and he recently made it to the final table of the Caesars Palace Poker Classic, according to People.
In September, Phelps had dinner with poker legend Doyle Brunson. .
Brunson exclaimed in his blog on Sept. 7, “What a nice kid!” Brunson wrote that “Michael said all he wanted to do in life was to eat, swim and play poker.”

Pennsylvania State University now has an official perfume and cologne, which the developer says captures the essence of the school's blue and white colors, based on “campus flowers and trees.”
Harrisburg-based Masik Collegiate Fragrances developed the scent and says the perfume exudes vanilla, lilac, rose and white patchouli. The cologne smells of blue cypress and cracked pepper vapor.
The products should appeal to Penn State's vast alumni and football fans, Masik President Katie Masich said.
North Carolina also has a perfume by the company, which on its Web site boasts upcoming fragrances for universities including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn and LSU.

Vampire romance “Twilight,” which had a huge No. 1 opening the previous weekend, took a steep 62 percent decline from its $69.6 million debut and was neck-and-neck for second place with Disney's animated family flick “Bolt” – no relation to the Chargers.
Both trail “Four Christmases” with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon, which debuted at No. 1 with $31.7 million.
Based on yesterday's estimates, “Bolt” had a slight lead with $26.6 million for the weekend, compared with $26.4 million for “Twilight.”

People.com says A-Rod hung with Madge on Wednesday night at her concert at Miami's Dolphin Stadium. Then, according to the New York Daily News, he had Thanksgiving dinner Thursday afternoon in Miami with ex-wife Cynthia and daughters Natasha, 4, and Ella, 7 months.
That night, the News says, the rascally rabbit rushed off to Madonna's Miami-area home on Star Island.
