Watercraft ban pits surfers, environmentalists
The ban pitted big-wave surfers, who use personalized watercraft (or PWCs) to propel themselves into waves that are too large to be caught by paddling a board, against environmental groups who believe the motorized vehicles have no place in a marine sanctuary.

Sports letters: Shabby treatment: Most SDSU fans and alumni would agree that Chuck Long was not the right head coach for the Aztecs. He did not, however, deserve the shabby and unethical treatment he received from SDSU Athletic Director Jeff Schemmel and SDSU President Stephen Weber. Chuck Long is an upstanding and honorable man.
