COVINA – A bronze statue worth about $35,000 was stolen from a real estate firm here that had another statue taken in June.
Police say the statue of a teenage boy carrying an American flag was reported missing Saturday from the McIntyre Co. The thieves are believed to have wrapped a chain around the statue and pulled it with a vehicle. A boulder on which the statue was mounted was found in the street.
Another bronze statue worth $25,000 was stolen from the company earlier this year and later recovered at a Montclair metal recycler.
