LOS OSOS – Surfers at Montana de Oro State Park are being warned that ocean waters have high bacteria levels that could make them sick.

San Luis Obispo County health officials posted warning signs Tuesday at the popular surf spot after weekly water sampling showed high bacteria levels.

The warnings will be taken down when bacteria counts return to safe levels.
