MORENO VALLEY – Fire investigators Wednesday were probing the cause of a brush fire that scorched about five acres north of Moreno Valley.
The fire, reported shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, was put out by 9:30 p.m., said Riverside County fire information officer Jody Hagemann.
The fire started south of San Timoteo Canyon Road and west of Redlands Boulevard, according to Hagemann, who said firefighters had a tough time getting to the flames.
