MURRIETA – Two Murrieta men arrested in a battery in Temecula were in custody Tuesday, and two juveniles were sought in the attack, which left a young man with facial injuries.
Levi Tucker Cowel, 20, was arrested late Saturday, and Jon Cody Mader, 19, was arrested early Sunday in connection with the fight on Friday, Temecula police Sgt. Lorin Tyler Clark said.
The victim was walking with friends on Chantemar Way, near North General Kearny Road, he said.
Mader, held in lieu of $50,000 bail, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury and conspiracy to commit a felony, Clark said. Cowel, held on $55,000 bail, was booked on suspicion of using force to inflict injury, drug possession and disobeying a court order, he said. Both are set be arraigned at the Murrieta courthouse Thursday.
