MURRIETA – Police in Murrieta Tuesday sought a man who took an iPod from an 18-year-old woman at gunpoint, along with the getaway driver.
The robbery was reported at 8:37 p.m. Monday in the 38000 block of Members Club Drive, according to Murrieta police Sgt. Tony Conrad.
The woman told police she was walking south on Members Club Drive when the gunman, who was wearing a ski mask, approached and pushed her to the ground, Conrad said.
The victim was wearing head phones and could not hear clearly what the suspect was saying, but then noticed he was pointing a gun at her and removed her iPod, which the gunman grabbed, Conrad said.
The woman told the suspect she had nothing else of value, and he ran to a waiting four-door black compact car, Conrad said.
The gunman was described as white or Latino, about 23 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 140 pounds, police said.
He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black basketball shorts with white stripes on the bottom and a black ski mask, Conrad said.
No description of the driver was provided.
